Hosted booking tools are usually priced per booking, per seat, or per staff member, and hold your customer list on their servers. A self-hosted plugin changes the whole equation.

Is there a catch to “free”?

No. The plugin on WordPress.org is the full product: appointments, seat reservations, admin, notifications, REST API. It is GPLv2 software with no per-booking fees, no seat commissions and no usage limits.

What will Pro include and cost?

Pro is in development and the details have not been announced. Join the waitlist to hear first. The free plugin will not lose features to make room for it.

Can I take online card payments?

Not in the current version. Schedopia records offline payments (cash, bank transfer, mark-as-paid). Payment methods are extensible through the PaymentMethod driver interface.

Do I need an account with ThinkMatic?

No. Install from WordPress.org and you are done. Schedopia never contacts our servers.

The documentation on this site covers setup, appointments, events and the developer API. For questions, use the WordPress.org support forum or the contact form.
