A booking plugin for everything that can be booked
Schedopia started from a simple observation: most small businesses that take bookings were paying a monthly fee, plus a cut of each booking, to rent software that held their own customer list. We thought a WordPress plugin could do the job without any of that.
Why it exists
Appointment plugins for WordPress have existed for years. Most either stop at appointments, so a studio that also runs classes needs a second tool, or hide the useful parts behind a paid tier. Seat reservations for events were a separate category again, usually a hosted ticketing service with its own fee per ticket.
Schedopia brings the two together in one self-hosted plugin. Version 1.0 shipped in July 2026 with a complete appointments system. Within seven weeks it had gained service add-ons, customer self-cancellation, calendar feeds, spam protection, CSV export and, in 1.3.0, venues, halls, a visual seat planner and seat reservations.
It is free, released under the GPLv2, and it will keep taking bookings on your site whether or not you ever hear from us again.

Six principles behind every release
No tax on your bookings
Per-booking fees and seat commissions punish you for doing well. Schedopia charges nothing per booking, and never will.
Correct before clever
A double-booking is a broken promise to a customer. The guard runs in a database transaction, and every booking passes through the same validated path.
Extend, don’t fork
Documented hooks, driver interfaces and a full REST API mean developers can add what they need without patching core files.
Quiet by default
No tracking, no third-party CDNs, no requests home. The only optional external call is reCAPTCHA, and only if you turn it on.
Free software
Schedopia is GPLv2. You can read it, change it, and keep using it whatever happens to us.
